Rick Saunders leads Dynamis’ efforts to build and execute its business growth strategy, aimed at broadening and deepening our contributions to key clients at the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and elsewhere.
Rick brings Dynamis over a dozen years of business and homeland security mission expertise gained through leading the DHS account at a premier strategy consulting firm. As a senior executive, Rick created and implemented services that supported key DHS mission areas and established a strong business presence across the Department. Rick led numerous high-impact client engagements to drive change and increased organization effectiveness both at DHS headquarters and in virtually every component.
Before entering the private sector, Rick held numerous national security affairs positions, culminating as Deputy National Security Advisor to the Vice President of the United States. In that job, Rick supported the Vice President in all aspects of national security affairs, foreign policy, political-military affairs, counterterrorism, and intelligence. Rick served 28 years in the Army, serving in command and staff positions in armor and airborne units and on the faculty of the National War College and the U.S. Military Academy.
