Director, Preparedness & Resilience
David Childs joined Dynamis in June 2010 and currently serves as the Director of the Preparedness & Resilience (P&R) Division. He leads the company’s emergency management and training and exercise portfolio, managing programs providing preparedness training, exercises, analysis, assessments, and decision support for clients across the homeland security and defense enterprises. He also helped develop Dynamis’ management training program.
David has more than 20 years of national and homeland security experience. His specialties include international relations, transnational threats, political and defense analysis, emergency preparedness, training and exercises, and program and project management. Prior to joining Dynamis, David spent four years supporting DTRA’s International Counterpoliferation Program in a variety of capacities.
David received his Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics from Georgetown University and his Master of Arts degree in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP)-certified project manager.
