Senior Manager, Preparedness & Resilience
David Childs joined Dynamis in June 2010 and currently serves as the Director of the Preparedness & Resilience (P&R) Division. David manages multiple preparedness, training, and exercise contracts in the P&R portfolio and serves as a subject matter expert providing strategic advice, analysis, and decision support for clients in CISA, FEMA, and TSA. Additionally, David helped develop and now runs Dynamis’ management training program.
David has more than 20 years of national and homeland security consulting experience. His specialties include international relations, transnational threats, political and defense analysis, emergency preparedness, training and exercises, and program and project management. Prior to joining Dynamis, David spent four years supporting DTRA’s International Counterpoliferation Program in a variety of capacities.
David received his Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics from Georgetown University and his Master of Arts degree in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP)-certified project manager.
