Dynamis Senior Principal published in HDIAC 2018 State of the Art Report

Dynamis is pleased to announce the publication of Drowning in Data: Mitigating Data Overload in Disaster Response by Senior Principal Aaron Marks in the HDIAC 2018 State of the Art Report on disaster response. This paper includes an overview of some of the challenges of data-centric disaster response along with a summary of emerging trends and possible future directions.

Aaron Marks is a Senior Principal at Dynamis. Previously he supported multiple projects for the Department of Homeland Security focusing on Prevention and Resilience. Before supporting DHS, Marks spent 22 years in various Emergency Medical Services roles, ranging from 911 telecommunicator and dispatcher to Director of Operations for a commercial ambulance provider. He has published and presented on a variety of topics including human factors in emergency equipment, continuity of operations, risk assessment, and consequence management after a CBRN incident. Marks has a Master of Public Administration from Jacksonville State University and holds a Nationally Registered Paramedic credential from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
